Someone kindly retrieved a French grammar book I left on a seat at the station this morning and handed it in at the ticket office.

They may never know how pleased I was to see this volume again.

But I hope they can imagine it.

Hearts and bones.

Messages can revive lives.

Words can inspire new worlds, cures and discoveries.

We all need yours.

If the question is “should I call” or “maybe I I’ll drop in” or it could be “shall I send a card” or “will they be interested to know…”, the answer is always Yes.

Yes – every time.

Because, just a little bit, we are here to play life amongst and in connection with, others.

No other person can be you. Not exactly.

That’s why it is important to be “you”.

An evergreen tree does not shed or grow autumn-color leaves. A seasonal flower does not last all year.

There are things, combinations, volumes, flavours, intensity levels, sensitivities and capabilities, extraordinarily embodied in you.

And I do mean you.
