If only one person arrives to see a film in a 500 seat cinema, should they show the film or give a coupon for another screening?

If the roads to the city centre are blocked by snow and there is nobody waiting for coffee, should a cafe open for business?

If only one person reads a book you wrote, was it a good idea to write it?

On top of the filing cabinet, behind the door, inside the captain’s cabin.

That was how it started. What was I doing there? Why had I not taken a direct flight?

Instead I had persuaded them to let me have the last cabin on the cargo ship, which would be my home for two months.

The other passengers, there were 5 of them, were as varied in origin, size, age and character, as the contents of the containers and crates on the ship.

I had forgotten where the ship was headed. What did that matter? Adventure’s clock was ticking.

Wandering along a tightrope playing a tune, singing a song.

Perhaps purposefully walking, might be more in tune with the first activity. But you could compose a symphony on a three hour flight.

Not everything has to be done the way it says in the instruction manual!
