Some choices have to be made.

Keeping your options open is a good idea.

Yet, at times without choosing one thing over another, progress cannot be made.

The good news is that options usually still exist, choices are not closed off just because you decided on the road to take.

The other roads, they never go away.

Reduce the sauce to a simmer.

Use heavier gauge steel.

Lathes are faster than extrusion.

Sewing with dual eye needles seals the seams faster.

A sprinkle of vinegar keeps the beans from going mushy.

Worth learning the tricks of the trade as an apprentice.

You can create the same circumstances as an apprenticeship without that formal state existing.

The school of gastronomy shows hopeful young future chefs, the right way to dice carrots and slice a rare Ethiopian cheese.

Carriages are lined up around the corner, their drivers polish gleaming mirrors and chrome.

No time to take the bus, walk the streets or hitch a ride.

There’s a cuff link to fasten and a gift to deliver in person.

These are not the essential things of life, just the trimmings.
