How do you find a captive audience?

Go to a quiet room and look in the mirror.

Captives should be freed.

The day has come to enjoy fame and refuse to apologize for good deeds done well.

All together now.

The trays were loaded high with slippers.

Tidy layers of graffiti were offered to clergymen and sinners.

The bold brass bell was ringing.

Musicians from the neighbouring town were sunbathing at the cash registers.

And your mission, should you choose to accept it, was clear, early this morning. 

Drumming sounds from the hills and houses.

Percussion keeping time and timing, being of the essence,  were not in any way connected. 

Not that is, until the aliens landed and broke into song. 

At that moment we gained new respect for the opera and indeed the Opry .

Halls for the performance of music became the churches of the future.

Try the other one. 

Gloves, shoes, shirts – they just never are all the exact same size, even when the label shows the same number.

So next time you are in a waiting pattern, sitting in the lobby of your attorneys’ building looking at seemingly identical wooden panels, try to find the one with a slightly bigger gap, a longer overhang, an exposed nail…there is always difference in there waiting to entertain you.

Entertain you, yes. For it is a game. And you can play.

If a vegetable is boiled for ten minutes in a one liter pot, how long does it take a literature professor to turn ten pages in a book by Flaubert, while being chased by the flamboyant and literature-hungry professor of social anthropology?

There are some questions worth asking and the ones worth asking are worth answering.

Ask questions, because thy like a gold strike in the gold rush for knowledge.
