We are spellbound and we are forgetting the waste disposal systems of the past.

This was the theme of an engineering conference focusing on sanitation.

I found the coffee shop across the street much more to my liking. Even the little savoury biscuits were good. 

We need a reason to ask someone to come and talk, join in conversation, and when tea and coffee are excluded from the list of possibilities, alcohol as well, we may invite you for a sparkling water. 

It may take some getting used to this fizz.

Don’t just sit there, they said.

But we were sitting on a wall, with a view of the ocean and had decided to tell a joke.

Play well and play fair.

Deal us out and include us in.

The display of grateful appreciation was noted.

We are all happy with the gifts and awards we are given, yet it is possible to wonder at some times, “couldn’t they have given me more?”.

Yes,  know You never, ever do that!
