Don’t laugh now, laugh later.

The first down payment was a chuckle.

The second down payment was a giggle.

Then there was the funny story about the person who made the first down payment and chuckled and then the second one and giggled.

This is a mathematical problem. How many people actually laughed?

Yes, some problems cannot be solved just because they are “described” as mathematical. Trust your own internal calculator!

They raised the bridge and the enormous iron barge move slowly through the opening. 

Six days later people in the nearby town were eating mushrooms and cucumbers for the first time. 

Twenty days later a sightseeing boat moved past the open bridge and dropped the passengers off at a riverside cheese tasting room. 

Many remembered the day of the decision. That was the day they decided to build the bridge.
