Under the bell rising

Sent by friends to find the one true thing, they explored the forests and further.

Nobody found the blue bear. Not one bear in fact.

What they found was more astounding and much more valuable to the world.

They discovered the next wave.

It’s on the list.

What a sense of relaxed relief and calm. Transferred from mind and sizzling memory, to paper, so to speak. 

We know it will happen. 

They will meet.

We will confer.

And you and I can take our time over those valuable things, that deserve…time.

Shimmering lakes and hot steaks. 

The tent had been there for two days.

The For Sale sign was leaning at a precarious angle.

There were buyers but not for such a large tent in that location.

A rainbow seemed to frame the song played loud from the lips of strangers.

Free sponges were being given away in the streets.

They were real sea sponges which had been obtained by the divers of Kalymnos.

Treasures such as these are so rare. As they can truthfully say “they don’t grow them anymore!”.

Good thing we still grow wise if we choose to. 

It’s well worth the effort. The gift of nourishing work.

With one carrot you could make a bowl of soup.

Letters and phone calls later, the sun rose slower than usual and shops stayed open longer and later.

Now there were more than twenty five hours in a day. It had started when they added half an hour to the original twenty four.

The weekend had been expanded to three days and people were campaigning for a fourth.

I am so pleased all this happened on another planet.
