Festivals, weddings, anniversaries and at a stretch, birthdays – special birthdays – attract the attention of designers with “names”.

So long since I’ve worn a high street or no brand outfit at a spectacular event. Perhaps I was twelve.

But none of this is as good as the visit to the scrappy yet homely, vegan burger joint down the road apiece, after the shindig is over.
