Festivals, weddings, anniversaries and at a stretch, birthdays – special birthdays – attract the attention of designers with “names”.

So long since I’ve worn a high street or no brand outfit at a spectacular event. Perhaps I was twelve.

But none of this is as good as the visit to the scrappy yet homely, vegan burger joint down the road apiece, after the shindig is over.

Normal.

In its sheer extraordinariness.

In its randomness.

In… it is what it is.

Now.

But later today, a new coat of paint and a new name.
