Now I know I have played every instrument, sung with every pitch and tone, debated with every bright spark, listened to every sage, heard every story, read every book.

So that means one thing: ready to hear you.

The deadline has passed, and we’ve decided you can take all the time you want to finish.

Great. Or is it? At times this leeway, this license to amble is deeply unhelpful.

But not always.

There are few good rules and they do not tell you: If This, Then That. They explain the important factors and principles of motivated decisions.

A deadline may motivate and energize, move you forward, another time it’ll just be irritating.
