After the show and after shaving and after the long bath.

There was a memory hidden under the stairs.

Lifting a floorboard and pulling out the white wooden box, we extracted the treasure map and a tiny mysterious silvered glass bottle.

We are not running for re-election, just a new supreme post.

A balanced number tipped slightly to one side and then to the other.

Like a knife placed on the neck of a 1973 bottle of Pinot Noir, steadiness soon shone through on the palette of potential principals.

Slow delivery was seemingly quick – the conversation good and time-eating, like a ravenous owl.

High and Hearty.

Days of meaning, evangelism and fish farming.

Blackened, with plenty of pepper and eaten slowly with the company of fine friends.

There is a monorail of thinking, a basket of old typewriter ribbons and your scarf.

Now – watch out kid – the enthusiasm will kick in like a mule with hiccups.

Fat Banking and Mixed Sweets, were both secret phrases describing financial transactions.

We were children then, and may not be now.

I notice that the accuracy of those seemingly silly childish monikers and sayings, was really good.

We will again be good at adopting story-like word assemblies which convey a bucket load of meaning.

To get there, it only takes snapping one’s fingers!

I would buy the book at an airport kiosk if I forgot my copy of The Economist, because it’s better if the choice you make is unavailable – to switch completely.

Another example – no ice cream…then try broccoli. Get the idea?!
