Holy mackerel!

Well, it seems like a useful phrase. Part school camp leader tone and part comic-book.

So polite.

Could do with a bit of that charm and homey civility perhaps?

Time to think of a new recipe. Not only for food, but everything. Seems democracy needs it to survive, and certainly – to thrive.

We are gathered at the seams.

I’m cool in cotton.

What a silky hillside!

Woolly words perhaps.

So crisp it must be linen.

The fabric of things and all it brings.

Let us pause beside the fountain and then meet at the Blue Sky cafe.

Something that happened to me, a bedtime story, a philosophical treatise or perhaps the outline for a screenplay?

None of those sound convincing.

When you are a young child – I mean 5 to 12 years old.

You know when adults are telling the truth.

You are (or were) correct.

Remember that.

We can see a better world!

Perhaps an island real or imagined.

I like the idea. A number of trees, a hill, a reliable stream and usually calm seas.

The climate – mild all year.

Fish gather in coves and are easy to catch.

Anything you plant grows easily and quickly.

Some bamboo grows near a cove where you will build shelter and eventually, a real home.

You take hundreds of books with you. If not the air-drome-float delivery service will provide.
