Hoisted by a thin cord made of boiled vegetable strands, the flag flew every day from 8 until 10.
We never saw the soldier who raised the flag, we would heard the passage of music that always proceeded this, and run toward the fort, but the flag was already fluttering in the ever-present wind by the time we arrived.
We were home before 10 and it was too far to go back to see the cord pulling the flag down towards te ground.
Daily challenges are fine and dandy.
And, so was the flag.
